Young Artists in Emergency


In this project students from Europe show that creativity, as a problem solving skill, is both a key competence on the labour market and a means to recognize individual prospects.

Seven schools of all types from all over Europe form a so-called “creative consortium”. This consortium consists of students from different countries and regions, of different languages and cultures, with different educational backgrounds, with and without disabilities. This diversity alone represents the individuality and uniqueness of every agent. These young people have all got one common goal: they want a chance for employment on the labour market and to be a valuable part of society.

Another part of the consortium are the teachers. Every one of them as well is an essential element for the “jigsaw puzzle” of their common goal: to accompany these young people and to stimulate them to become critical, thinking members of the European Union.

The project is subdivided in three phases. Each of these phases is marked by a “milestone”. It starts very soberly with the collection of data (Analysis), followed by the artistic expression (Production) and completed by a “sentence of hope” (Vision).

Distribution of tasks

The tasks are distributed according to a defined set, subdivided in documental, communicative, organisational and methodical-didactic areas. The partner schools are organisers and process drivers of their areas. They are responsible for their part at the online tool “Board” and function as “critical companion”. Every country plays an equally important part, the active involvement of every partner school is essential for the whole progress.

Area: Coordination

The coordination is the connection of all the areas.

Process driver: entire project
Tasks: overview of all activities, intervention to keep the schedule, support in case of insufficient clarity, conducting the “information hub”, evaluation of the communication tools.

Area: Curator

The curator collects data and facts around the artistic process. In this area the photo subjects are organised and collected.

Tasks: interconnecting the different art projects, artistic monitoring, advice in art relevant questions

Area: Communication system

The system consists of "board" and "blog".

Tasks: line management and minimum conditions of the layout, communication of the framework conditions for the stickers and the album (size, structure, contents), logistics of the dispatching of the postcards and of the installation

Education documents the application in the curriculum of the schools

Tasks: compiling the portfolio, collecting the used materials, systematising the applied methods, putting in order the incoming documents

Area: ArtMarket

This area is responsible for the closing event.
Responsibility Spain
Tasks: responsibility for the taking place and realisation of the “market place”, promotion of the closing event.

Area: Mobilities

The contact point about mobilities is anchored in this area.
Responsibility Greece
Tasks: maintains the blog “Forum” and inspires informal exchange. Collects travel data, travel conditions and travel experiences, optimises transfer through interconnection

Area: Touring exhibition

Once „Vision” comes to an end, all postcards will be exhibited in each country.
Responsibility Romania

Tasks: plans and supervises the touring exhibition.
